For consented athlete measurement

A measurement needs context before it needs a trend.

Numbers from different devices, motions, loads, and recording conditions look comparable long before anyone proves that they are.

This page is held outside search indexing until the B6 device, review, abstention, consent, and public-copy evidence is accepted.

The learning cycle

Turn one reviewed step into the next

An athlete records a jump in a crowded gym, then repeats it at home with a different camera angle and device. A coach also enters a bar-speed reading from a separate instrument. The three numbers appear in one chart, but they describe different motions, references, loads, and sources. A clean line would be easy to draw and hard to justify. The correct response may be to keep the observations separate or abstain from comparison.

How the work moves

Keep progress private and explainable

Biomechanics & VBT is limited to consented mechanical measurement. Every observation must identify the athlete relationship, motion, protocol, device or capture source, units, reference, load where relevant, time, reviewer, and confidence or quality state. Raw media and derived values keep their provenance. A number without the required context is not promoted into a trend. The first useful output is often an explanation of why two readings should not be compared.

Compatible observations can support a bounded mechanical trend. The view should state what changed, which records were used, which assumptions apply, and where the evidence is incomplete. Explainability is part of the measurement, not an optional paragraph added later. If framing, occlusion, device support, protocol mismatch, consent, or model confidence falls outside the accepted contract, the system must abstain instead of producing a persuasive estimate.

A reviewed mechanical observation may inform a coach-approved training plan or a private athlete history, but it remains evidence. It cannot create official match authority, automatic selection, a public rank, or a consequential action. Corrections preserve earlier values and identify why a replacement was accepted. Film is required only when the claim is derived from video, and the rights for that video do not expand because a measurement was calculated from it.

The next responsible step

Who needs what next

From consented capture to observation

The source, motion, protocol, device, units, reference, load, and quality state travel with the value. Missing required context produces an abstention, not a guessed result.

From compatible observations to trend

Only comparable records enter the same mechanical trend. The display explains inclusion, exclusion, assumptions, and uncertainty so a clean chart cannot hide incompatible evidence.

From review to training

A qualified reviewer may use accepted mechanical evidence when proposing the next plan. The coach and family retain authority over the plan, audience, and retained athlete history.

Trust and controls

The important limits stay visible

This work is mechanical measurement only. It does not interpret pain, diagnose a condition, prescribe care, predict recovery, clear participation, or make a safety decision. It must abstain when consent, source quality, protocol fit, compatible reference, or explainability is insufficient, and it never turns a number into official performance truth.
