Cookie Policy
Effective August 3, 2026 · Last updated August 3, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how SightSmash, operated by Field & Forge Sports, uses cookies and similar technologies on sightsmash.com, app.sightsmash.com, and related web experiences. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text records a website asks a browser to store. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, indexed databases, device identifiers, pixels, scripts, and server logs. They can support sign-in, security, preferences, offline operation, measurement, or advertising. SightSmash limits these technologies to the purposes described below.
2. Technologies SightSmash uses
Strictly necessary technologies. The application may store session, authentication, security, consent, routing, and preference information needed to sign in, remain signed in, protect an account, open the correct role workspace, and remember a user’s choices.
Offline and functional storage. Courtside scoring, capture, drafts, queued changes, and device preferences may use browser or device storage so an authorized workflow can continue through weak connectivity and synchronize safely later.
Privacy-focused measurement. The marketing website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics for aggregate page and performance measurement. We use it to understand whether pages load, which content is useful, and where the experience needs improvement.
Security and bot detection. Public forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to distinguish legitimate requests from automated abuse. Cloudflare and our infrastructure may also use network and security logs to protect the Services.
3. Cloudflare Web Analytics
Cloudflare Web Analytics uses a JavaScript beacon to measure page views and web performance. Cloudflare describes the service as privacy-first and states that it does not collect or use visitors’ personal data. The beacon is not used by SightSmash to build a personal profile, follow a person across unrelated sites, or target advertising.
Aggregate analytics may include a visited path, referring page, browser or device category, country or approximate region, timing, and performance information. We use the results as totals and trends rather than as a record of an identified person.
4. Cloudflare Turnstile
Turnstile runs small browser challenges and evaluates technical signals to protect forms from spam and automated abuse. SightSmash receives a short-lived token and validation result rather than the underlying raw signals. Turnstile tokens expire quickly and are validated on the server.
Turnstile can operate without cookies or local storage through short-lived device identifiers. If Cloudflare pre-clearance is enabled, it may set a cf_clearance cookie so a successful challenge can be recognized by the protected domain. That cookie is used for security, not advertising.
5. Application storage and offline use
The SightSmash application may use a session cookie or equivalent storage to authenticate the account and prevent unauthorized requests. It may also store accessibility preferences, display choices, selected team or athlete context, draft inputs, and offline event journals. Offline journals are designed to synchronize to the authorized account and event when connectivity returns; clearing browser or app storage before synchronization may remove unsent work.
Payment processors, identity providers, media providers, or other integrations selected by the user may set their own necessary cookies when their pages or controls are used. Their policies govern their independent use.
6. What we do not use
SightSmash does not use third-party advertising pixels, cross-site behavioral advertising cookies, data-broker tags, or cookies that create advertising profiles about children. We do not sell cookie data or use private youth, health, eligibility, film, message, or precise-location information for behavioral advertising.
7. Your controls
Most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies and site data. Blocking strictly necessary storage may prevent sign-in, security checks, saved preferences, or offline features from working. Browser privacy controls, private browsing, content blockers, and Global Privacy Control may also affect website technologies. Because SightSmash does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, Global Privacy Control does not change an advertising profile on SightSmash.
You can clear SightSmash site data through the browser or device settings. Before clearing storage in the application, confirm that any offline scoring, capture, or draft work has synchronized. Contact support if you need help removing local data without losing authorized records.
8. Changes and contact
We may update this Policy as our services, providers, or legal obligations change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated through the site, application, email, or another appropriate channel.
