SightSmash Parent Scorer: terms
Last updated July 24, 2026.
These terms cover the SightSmash Parent Scorer mobile app, a separate product from both sightsmash.com and the SightSmash coaching application. Each has its own terms; this page covers the Parent Scorer app only.
What this app is
SightSmash Parent Scorer is a free volleyball app for a parent to keep their own tally of their child's match, standing in the stands, on their own phone. It has no account, no login, and no in-app purchase. Nothing to buy, nothing to subscribe to.
Provided as-is
The app is provided as-is, with no warranty of any kind. We don't guarantee it will be free of bugs, available at all times, or compatible with every device or operating system version. Volleyball scoring involves a lot of fast taps in a short window; if a bug causes a mistap or a lost stat mid-match, we're sorry, but we're not liable for it.
Your stats are your own tally, not an official record
Everything the app records is a parent's own hand-kept tally: what you saw, tapped, and typed from the stands. It is not an official scorebook, not a league or club record, and not verified against any outside source. Do not rely on stats from this app as an official record for eligibility, recruiting, a league dispute, or any other formal purpose. If you need an official record, get it from the league, the club, or the official scorer.
You own what you record
The athlete names, matches, and stats you enter belong to you. We have no claim on them and no license to use them. The app does not send us a copy. If you deliberately include scorer data in a support or privacy email, that voluntary correspondence is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
No responsibility for data loss
There is no SightSmash server copy of your data. If your phone is lost, stolen, damaged, wiped, or the app is uninstalled, we have no way to recover the data for you. A device backup managed through your personal Apple or Google account may retain or restore a copy, depending on your backup settings, but SightSmash cannot see, control, or guarantee that backup. Export or share anything you need to preserve independently.
Sharing what you record
If you use the Share button to send a match summary through your phone's own share sheet, whatever happens to that message after it leaves your phone, who reads it, where it's forwarded, is between you and whoever you sent it to. We have no visibility into that and no responsibility for it.
Changes
We can update these terms. The date at the top of this page tells you when it last changed.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States.
